INTERESTS & TALENTS
Carpentry, boating/sailing, soccer, art. His love of boating and carpentry came together when he built boats for others while in the Coast Guard and most notably, at least two "Comet class" sail boats in the late 1970s and early 1980s (Anyone have pictures?). His connection with Comet class boats no doubt comes from the family connection to the the Green Pond Yacht Club. Several members of the Dath family were founding members. Comet class boats are still raced on Green Pond today.

STORIES
The "Barn" was the workshop detached from the house were he built boats, rocking chairs and much more. Family members say it was was a boxing ring before they moved there. They took the structure down to create the barn. Russell was very industrious and put the kids to work digging out their own basement and their own own 3ft deep pool.
