Hi. My name is Teri Dath. My grandfather was Gerard Henry Dath. He had three children, all still living. Lola, Dorrie (nickname), and my father Gerard Henry Jr. I have a sister Kelly Dath and I have a son. This blog is fantastic! What else do you want to know?

Hi Teri! My name is Russ Dath III. Great to hear from you. My family history traces back to Gerard Henry Dath's brother, Emile. Emile would be my great grandfather. I think you might be the first person I've heard from that traces back to Gerard. Have you seen the family Photos on Flickr? They are at @ http://www.flickr.com/photos/elvisrunning/sets/72157607440715181/

There is one with Gerard, his siblings and parents. If you have any old family photos to share, that would be great. What would I like to know? Anything you want to contribute is appreciated. I'm trying to go farther back in the Dath tree. If you know anything additional regarding Gerard's parents and grandparents, that would be great. I'm still trying to validate his mother's maiden name. I've seen conflicting names in the records. Concerning Gerard, I'd love to know interesting things about his life (What did he do? Where did he live? What brought him to CA? What did he look like...I only have black in whites from the 20s-30s). Feel free to send me an email if you'd like @ dathfamily2@verizon.net. Also, I have a family tree on Ancestry.com if you are interested. Thanks again and glad you found the blog interesting!

This is incredible. I am Teri's older sister, Kelly. I have a few pictures that I would be more than tickled to scan for you. Just let me know what you want, and my sister and I will try and make it happen.

Looks like this makes us second cousins. My father being the youngest and having children later in life, my sister and I are usually closer to the second cousins ages. My first cousins are in their 60's.

My father Gerard Jr. is alive and very much kicking. He lives with me in Oregon. He can probably answer a lot of question as can both his sisters (Lola and Dorrie) who live in San Clemente, CA. I will see what I can find out.

I have looked at the family pictures. Looks like there is another Kelly Dath. That is way weird. This is all very exciting. I was just feeling a little nostalgic one afternoon last week and came upon your blog. Thank you.

Hi Kelly - Great to hear you and your sister. Glad we could connect. Second cousins might be right...I never could quite get that definition right. We probably are more inline age-wise than your first cousins. I'm 41.

There is Dath clan out here in suburban Philadelphia area and most of the pictures I have come from them. I'd love to build the library with more pictures. Photos are hard to come across. I have several family members who have contributed over the years. Together it makes a big difference.

The other Kelly Dath is a cousin of mine. I recently reconnected with her thanks to Facebook. We lost contact as kids when she moved to TX. She has moved around since.

I'm sending your sister a link to view a family tree I created on Ancestry.com. I plug in new info as it comes along (like what you and Teri have provided). If you want to see that info, just let me know. You can send me an email @ dathfamily2@verizon.net.

Most of the info I come across gets published on this blog, on flickr and/or on Ancestry.com. I know you saw the flickr photos. I also put some documents out there (most/all) are linked to from this blog. You can see them grouped at http://www.flickr.com/photos/elvisrunning/sets/.

I hope this info helps you with your nostalgia. Maybe your dad and siblings will make some new discoveries. Let me know if I can help you in anyway. Looking forward to hearing more from you.

Russ
